General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Head of Marketing & Sales, Grid Automation HUB NAM.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes for Grid Automation, NAM
  • Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
  • Responsible for identifying, assessing and creating go-to-market strategies, and growth plans for the Grid Automation product portfolio in conjunction with Hub and GPG strategies.
  • Align team and stakeholder organizations on the priorities required to achieve this vision and drive strategic growth for the Hub.
  • Be an effective member/collaborator as part of the Hub Leadership Team.
  • Ensure accountability within your leadership team to drive a high level of performance standards through coaching and performance management.
  • Promote a collaborative environment that brings the cross-functional teams together to achieve growth objectives, including, but not limited to Front Ends Sales, Global Product Group, MarCom, and the greater Hitachi organizations.
  • Own the Hub's participation in company wide planning processes by delivering data for Hub inputs, and ultimately ensuring that the sales targets and market potential are grounded in a data-based approach to achieve growth goals.
  • Actively participate in MarCom planning processes (events, campaigns, MDR projects) to ensure that Hub investments are optimized to achieve growth objectives.
  • Drive consistent use of defined sales processes and guidelines e.g. sales gates and capture teams, risk review, safe island etc.
  • Oversee tendering governance, sales support and administrative procedures within the sales process.
  • Ensures, with HR Business Partner (HRBP) support, that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and empowered. Guides, motivates and develops team to drive a positive culture.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) an MBA would be advantage.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • 10-15 years of sales and marketing experience in Power and/or T&D industry.
  • Managing virtual teams, North American customer experience is necessary.
  • Strong network of customers within utility, O&G, infrastructure segments.
  • Strong business acumen, growth mindset, and financial management and reporting skills.
  • Expert strategic thinking, problem solving and analysis
  • Superior drive for result
  • Experience in market penetration in a rapid growth environment.
  • Experience leading and coaching diverse and remote teams to achieve or exceed aggressive order targets
  • Strong relationship management skills, including ability to influence stakeholders
  • Superior communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50 percent, potentially more
