Position Overview

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Office of Transfer Services recruits, admits, and serves an eligible, diverse student population regionally, nationally, and internationally. It embraces the university’s commitment to attend the quality of students who are unable to matriculate and graduate. The office also maintains the integrity of the admissions process; thus ensuring efficient and systematic evaluation credentials.
Primary Purpose of Position
Activities will include planning and participating with high volume profile recruitment activities, programs, and events. Monitoring the application processes; and providing leadership to the Undergraduate Admissions staff and marketing NCCU to diverse groups of prospect students, parents, and educators
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The candidate should have knowledge of and ability to administer the following: administers recruitment activities that consider changing goal demographics and competitive markets; oversees marketing, strategic outreach and travel, and the campus visit experience; outlines key performance indicators including predictive modeling and yield management; ensures the timely and accurate processing of materials as the department completes a holistic review of applications, transcripts, and other academic documents; oversees 18 staff with two direct reports, and provide staff management by defining the duties and responsibilities of staff, assessing performance and providing feedback, and designing training and staff development opportunities; manages a departmental budget of approximately $1.5 million; and analyzes data to shape short-and long-term admissions objectives.
Minimum Education/Experience
Master’s Degree and seven years of progressive recruitment, marketing recruitment, program and event planning, personnel management, and research and admissions experience with active membership in Admissions professional organizations. Must have proficient experience in computerized Data Management Systems, Software applications, Enrollment Data Analysis. The candidate must also have evidence of strong Administrative Management Skills in working in integrated team of professional and support staff. Prior higher education experience that emphasized Leadership, Organization, Networking and Interpersonal Skills is desired.

Provide daily leadership and supervision to staff in the Office of Transfer Services. Develop and manage an aggressive recruitment program designed to attract and retain a diverse pool of transfer students, supervise all transfer procedures, and carry out the academic polices of the institution.

Will work in tandem with the appropriate offices in developing promotional/marketing plans that support the academic mission of the institution related to transfer services. Responsible for planning, management, delivery, and assessment of the total Office of Transfer Services

Collect, analyze and interpret data to produce annual travel. Responsible for coordinating recruitment data and CRM and other databases.
